New Site - Part 2
By Jon Archer
Just a few days ago I wrote about renewing this site due to wanting to get rid of my hosted VM. I had previously built the replacement using GatsbyJS, which I’d read a few things about and it piqued my interest.
However, after seeing Hugo in action and reading more about it I decided, while not too far down the Gatsby rabbit hole, to give this a go… And here we are.
I spent a bit of time getting the backend process and infrastructure sorted so I’ll write a post on this very soon.
It’s similarly in need of some attention to the look and feel, but functionality is here and thats the main thing. The other great thing was that I literally copied the content directory from Gatsby to Hugo and my content was migrated.
I have to say, static hosted sites are definitely the way forward.
